Meet McKenzie

Growing up, my family was always on the go — active, busy, and constantly moving from one thing to the next. Because of that, fast food often took priority over healthy eating. I spent years in sports and other active hobbies, but still wasn’t happy with how my body looked or felt.

I started my fitness journey in grad school which helped improve my appearance, but I still didn’t feel energized or refreshed the way I wanted to. Eventually, I realized the missing piece was my diet. It sounded simple enough, but I loved food that wasn’t necessarily good for me, and I had years of habits that were hard to break.

I tried just about every diet you can think of, but none of them lasted. Either I didn’t enjoy the food, or I wasn’t eating enough to feel full and properly fuel my body. Over time, I started doing my own research and slowly built healthier eating habits by finding ways to make nutritious food that was both satisfying and enjoyable — food that made me feel good without undoing the progress I was making in the gym.

Just as I was finally finding my rhythm, I met Taylor. Not only did he support those new habits, but he taught me even more about nutrition through his own experience. One of the first things he made for me was a yogurt bowl topped with fruit, dates, honey, and the homemade granola — of course. At the time, I had no idea we’d eventually end up here, turning that passion into something bigger. Now, I’m so excited to share this project with him and see where this journey takes us.
